One Service, One Plan
What I offer is simple. I
offer you a website built using HTML, PHP, and Javascript.
-
If you don't have one already I will buy a URL for your website.
-
I will host your website on my servers which have a guaranteed
uptime of 98% (the other 2% is for upgrades and service).
-
Unlimited email addresses
-
Custom designed graphics for your site
-
Logo design (if you don't already have one) - You will retain
all copyrights of the finished logo duty and royalty free. (depending on the complexity of the logo it will be given to you for
your own use in either .png, .eps or both formats)
-
I will submit your website to about 200 search engines and
newsgroups quarterly.
-
I will remain at your service throughout the term of our
agreement to provide support and free updates to the content of your
site.
After the first year if you like the results and my services I
invoice you for another year, and we continue our business relationship.
What I DO NOT do is:
Why my clients use my services and why over 90% of them
continue to be my clients:
-
PRICE - My pricing is simple, straight forward and very
inexpensive compared to larger companies.
-
SERVICE - Fast, efficient and personal. If you request an
update it is done usually within an hour.
-
QUALITY - The sites I design are clean, clear and professional.
I use proven marketing techniques, web designing skills and features
that other companies would charge you more for.
Why the other 10% don't make it:
When I accept a new client it is on the condition that they accept me
and my designs. They need to understand why I decided not to use
the shade of blue that they wanted or I decided to use high quality
stock photos instead of the low quality images they pulled off someone
else's website or found on a Google search.
Does this mean that you're not going to get what you want? Maybe, if
what you want is to be a web designer. But if what you want is a
website that works and ranks well on search engines you will let me do
what needs to be done. I don't have any problem telling a client
when I think their ideas are going in the wrong direction or when the
result of having a professional website is being derailed by their
'great ideas'.
How it works:
Step 1
You contact me and tell me what you need and I compile all the
information you give me about you and your business and then the wheels
in my head start churning out ideas immediately. We will discuss the
requirements that you have for your website and who your target audience
is and how to reach them. We will also decide on a URL for your website
if you do not already have one.
Step 2
At this point I present my ideas to you. I give you a rough idea of
how I see your website looking and working on the World Wide Web. This
can be done 2 ways, either you allow my research, creativity and
marketing take the helm or you provide me some URL's of other websites
that have a similar look and feel that you like and we discuss what
elements of those URL's will work for you and which ones will not.
After we iron out a general idea of how your site will look and
function, I will quote you a price. If you like the price and you like
the ideas we have come up with for your site, I create you an account
page with a payment link. Once payment is received we move on to the
next steps.
Step 3
I will purchase the URL that we decided to use for your site and will
provide hosting for your site. Your website will be hosted on
servers with a 98% uptime guarantee.
Step 4
At this point you give me everything you have... in relation to your
business. Logos, Business plans, flyers, your contact information,
addresses, phone numbers, general business information, news articles
about your business, or just about anything else you can think of that
relates to your business and/or you would like to see on your site.
Along with all of this information and keeping in mind the general theme
we discussed in the previous steps I start to build your site.
Step 5
Once I have built the general layout of your website and have
uploaded it to the hosting server I will present it to you for review.
Together we will go over every page and make sure that I dotted all the
'i's and crossed all the 't's and we will make minor changes to the
content to ensure that everything is working just as we discussed.
Step 6
Now that we have tweaked out your site and everything is working, you
can start telling all your friends, customers and business associates
that you have a cool new website. You can start using your site and
place your URL in print ads, radio, television, put it on your business
cards or any other media you can think of to help spread the word and
start driving new people and your already existing clients to your
website.
Step 7
In regards to the website your job is over, mine is not. I submit
your URL to over 200 Search Engines and News Groups. I do this quarterly
to ensure that your site gets indexed properly on all the major search
engines. Keep in mind that getting indexed does not happen over night,
it could take 6 days or 6 months. It all depends on the content of your
site, your competition and how many visitors your site is getting.
During the entire agreement period I will continue to monitor and tweak
your site to make sure that your website has the best placement in
search engines possible.
Also, anytime during our agreement period you get free updates to the
content of your website. In other words anytime you change a service,
menu item, or other information that we already have on your website,
you just let me know what needs to be changed or updated and usually
within an hour or two I get it updated and it does not cost you anything
to update your sites information. The only time there is ever a charge
for updating your website is if you request new features or additional
pages that were not part of the original design we agreed upon, and even
then I don't normally charge extra. it just depends on the content and
how complicated it will be to add it that determines if there will be
additional charges.
